Daniel Fasteen, Ph.D. is a Senior Research Scientist with Tyler Technologies. Since 2010, Daniel has worked various roles in both the private and local government sector as a CAMA manager, product manager, research scientist, and consultant focusing on GIS application, property valuation methods, automated valuation models (AVM’s), and data analytics. His primary areas of interest and research include spatial analysis methodologies for measuring neighborhood effects, the design and application of spatial automated valuation models (AVM’s), and the integration of GIS and CAMA systems technology. He has presented papers at numerous conferences and international symposiums, served on the editorial review board of the Journal of Property Tax Assessment & Administration, and is a former Chair of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) Research Subcommittee. Daniel has also coauthored the book, “GIS for Property Tax and Assessment Professionals” published by the IAAO.
