About me

Bindi Shakya has been working at the Office of Property Assessment in the City of Philadelphia for over 5 years, where she serves as a Mass Appraisal Modeler/Analyst. Within her role, Bindi works in a team dedicated to creating and maintaining Regression Models aimed at estimating the value of real property in the City. Additionally, she specializes in data analysis, visualization and dashboard design. Bindi holds a Master of Science degree in Business Intelligence and Analytics and an Executive Masters in Project Management degree. She also underwent training towards a Certified Pennsylvania Evaluator License. Prior to her current position, she worked as a Teaching Assistant for the "Data Science using R" course at Bryn Mawr College and also served as a Research Intern for a Non-Profit organization. Bindi has showcased her expertise by presenting at the IAAO 2020 Annual Conference and GIS Val tech 2021 and 2024 Conferences.
