About me
As the Skagit County Assessor and Vice President of the Washington State Association of County Assessors (WSACA), as well as Secretary/Treasurer for the Washington Association of County Officials (WACO) Board of Trustees, I am dedicated to fostering collaboration, transparency, and innovative problem-solving to tackle complex governmental challenges. My efforts include revitalizing the PACS User Conference to enhance the operations of Assessor's Offices using PACS and driving Skagit County's success in achieving vertical equity in assessments, ensuring fairness across property types.
Beyond my professional responsibilities, I am committed to community service and leadership development. As Vice Chair of the Board for Chinook Enterprises and Treasurer of the Board for Community Action of Skagit County, I advocate for diversity, inclusion, and economic empowerment. My involvement with Leadership Skagit, where I have served as advisor, curriculum lead, and facilitator reflects my passion for cultivating leadership and strengthening partnerships across sectors.
I am also a frequent public speaker at local and national conferences, including presenting at GIS Val Tech Conferences. This year marks my third time presenting at the conference, and I am honored to serve on the committee helping to organize this impactful event. I share insights on topics such as vertical equity in assessment, the use of technology in public service, and fostering office culture and retention.
Outside of work, I find joy in exploring Skagit County’s natural landscapes with my partner Falon and our six children. Together, we embrace the Pacific Northwest’s beauty by hiking at Little Mountain Park, exploring the stunning North Cascades, and fostering a love of the outdoors and stewardship.
I believe that effective public service, strong community connections, and a commitment to continuous improvement can drive meaningful change. Through my roles and experiences, I aim to create a legacy of innovation, equity, and shared prosperity.
